I recently became aware of the fact that there's a Fender-produced 25dB mid frequency (500 Hz) boost circuit (still available from Fender) that was used by Eric Clapton. I'm a retired electronic engineer (EE) and I looked at this kit and thought I'd give it a try so I've ordered one but it won't arrive until February. .
